Dolores Claiborne: 5th Sep 2012

Dolores Claiborne

At this point, the only thing I know about Dolores Claiborne is that it was made into a film starring Kathy Bates (who I love).  I'm sure I've read somewhere that King wrote it with Bates in mind.  The best reference I've found for that is on the IMDb trivia page for the film. If someone could furnish me with a better one than that, I'd be especially grateful.

Onward.

  1. I only found out about Kathy Bates being all Dolores-y after I'd read it, and it felt like a good casting decision even though I'd thought of her as all skinny and birdlike throughout the book (which she probably wasn't supposed to be, she just was in my brain!) But anyway, she's pretty different to Annie Wilkes, let's just say!

Totally impressed you read Gerald's Game so quickly!

  2. I'm totally looking forward to this one! That probably has something to do with getting through Gerald's Game quickly (for me at least). That and having a week off work, not watching any films and only the odd episode of In Treatment. Must get back on with Breaking Bad...
